NIR LIGHT DIRECT USES

7/22/2016

For NF, the Whelan Milwaukee team is using NIR light to support PhotoDynamic Therapy.  The light triggers a photo sensitive chemical to kill NF tumor cells.

NIR light can also be used in an entirely different mode.  NIR light can be used directly by itself to repair cells.  Direct use of NIR light approaches magical status.

Significant research has and is being performed using NIR light in the range of 650 nm to promote therapeutic healing of injured or unhealthy cells.  Studies by Margaret T.T. Wong-Riley, et.al. at the Medical College of Wisconsin show that NIR light benefits neurons functionally inactivated by toxins.

The following is a partial listing of investigations of medical conditions where direct use of  NIR light is employed.  Under each medical condition  related publications are shown. This section is under construction.  LINKS to the more detailed documents and references to provide more explicit information will be added.  As more research is completed new cites will be added.

In  grammar school we all learn about the magic of light and photosynthesis in plants; but beyond vitamin D few if any of us learn that a much more expansive scope of miracles related to human health exists.
